That verse does not mean what you think it means

stop using it to cover up abuse

“Love covers a multitude of sins” doesn’t mean love covers up a multitude of sins. I am no biblical language scholar, and I don’t purport to explicate the oft-quoted verse, but I do know it’s ushered in at times of moral failure, and I am fed up with it.
